KATZGRABEN is tiago e.
During two years tiago e. has recorded home demos & developing musical ideas for imaginary film scenes & literary passages... unfinished paintings & experimental photography... unknown voices & day life ghosts... all the musical structures were reduced to simplicity and primitiveness of the main idea... as katkgraben sought to explore imperfection, emptiness, loneliness, and escape... but, the future is still regarded as something full of different behaviours and visions: that will be the time for the great ensemble.

The debut online release from Katzgraben (Merzbau 2008) was an improvised sketch of "home demos for imaginary film scenes, literary passages, unfinished paintings and experimental photography". But it was also the starting point for a blind leap into musique concrète concepts, monolithic soundscapes, and a certain lynchian type of sonorous narrative. Katzgraben's original elements - stray guitars, ghostly spoken words and breathless melodicas - have now a different texture.
